Version 5 of ImageDock combines the power and flexibility of a scanner desktop with the one-click control of ScanBar. The first time you install ImageDock, or any time you change your scanner, ScanTest makes sure that your scanner settings are optimized for use with ScanBar. ExperVision OCR converts color, gray or black and white images containing text into editable documents.
The premium OCR engine preserves formatting, styles, imbedded images, fonts and even column wrapping and supports English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish languages. You can even add your own words to the user dictionary to allow the ExperVision OCR engine to recognize family names and other words not commonly found in the regular dictionary.
All of the images in ImageDock can now be edited (copy, paste, clear) in place. You can rotate and zoom the images, crop, and perform many other useful and sophisticated operations. Creating stacks of images is as simple as selecting and dragging the image thumbnails. Many operations work on the entire stack of images (such as OCR) simplifying what used to be repetitious and tedious work.
The new thumbnail view can be customized to allow you to rename your images by just clicking in the name. You can set the thumbnail view to display your image properties, just like in the Windows Explorer. Organize your images by dragging their thumbnails to one of the pre-made folders or create your own folder hierarchy. ImageDock lets you save your images in hundreds of different output formats such as JPEG (you can set the quality of the output), TIFF, BMP and PCX. You can even save an image as text for an application you don't have so you can send it to a friend or colleague.
