The program has been created as common software for surveillance hybrid platforms running all together with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same look and controls on the local and remote computers. Users watch MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program through network that surveillance server can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration extensively increases reliability because all components proceed as independent applications. If one unit stops working, other units keep on running. For instance if the `capture` part stops working, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video via a `playback` part. The program does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by movement, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote pc via Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
