La pétanque ou Jeux Provençal est pratiqué maintenant dans 48 pays et ne cesse de gagner en popularité dans le monde. 3D Pétanque Unlimited préfigure sans doute une nouvelle génération de simulateur de jeu de pétanque sur PC. Pour la première fois dans un jeu 3D on peut " plomber " ses boules, c'est à dire régler l'angle vertical de lancer et donner de l'effet à sa boule. On peut jouer comme en Provence en simple, doublette ou triplette selon les règles officielles de la Fédération Internationale de Pétanque. Chaque joueur choisit le poids de ses boules et définit son type de jeu en se dotant d'une capacité de pointage et de tir.Trois surfaces de jeu sont disponibles (gravier, sable et herbe). On dispose d'un terrain d'entraînement pour apprendre à jouer et pour s'entraîner au pointage et au tir. Ce jeu propose aussi une aide à la visée avec réglage intuitif de l'angle vertical de tir, de la direction, de la force et de l'effet en trois clics de souris. Les données sont affichées et mémorisées pour la dernière boule jouée par chaque joueur. Ce dispositif de visée est d'une grande précision et disponible par l'option d'AIDE.
