AKVIS Enhancer ist ein Werkzeug, um Bilder zu retten, die wegen falscher Belichtung, Bewegungen, oder schlechten automatischen Scharfstellens (Fokussierung) der Kamera nicht gut gelungen sind.
Das Programm gibt Ihnen die Möglichkeit, Details von unterbelichteten und überbelichteten Teilen eines Fotos zu zeigen, HDR-Bilder zu erstellen, und verschwommene Bilder zu korrigieren.
AKVIS Enhancer hat drei Modi: Enhancer, Focus und HDRI. Im Enhancer-Modus genügt eine einzige Aufnahme, um das Bild zu verbessern; im HDR-Modus braucht man 2-3 Aufnahmen (mit verschiedener Belichtungszeit) derselben Ansicht, um ein Bild zu generieren. Dafür ist das Ergebnis erstaunlich.
* Im Enhancer-Modus verdeutlicht das Programm die Zeichnung des Bildes, indem es die Farbenübergange verstärkt. Dies bedeutet, dass AKVIS Enhancer den Unterschied zwischen den angrenzenden Pixel, die unterschiedliche Farbabstufungen haben, verstärkt. Infolgedessen werden nicht nur Details im Schatten, sondern auch Details in den überbelichteten Bereichen und in den Mitteltönen aufgedeckt.
* Im Focus-Modus verbessert das Programm die Schärfe der verschwommenen Bilder. Es kommt vor, dass es dem Autofokus nicht gelingt, das Motiv genau zu fokussieren, und die Fotos sehen verschwommen aus. Der Focus-Modus hilft, solche Bilder zu retten. Man kann auch einen bestimmten Teil des Bildes scharfstellen.
* Im HDR-Modus muss man ab 2 Aufnahmen (mit verschiedener Belichtungszeit) derselben Ansicht kombinieren, um ein HDR-Bild zu generieren. Diese Technologie erlaubt, den Dynamikumfang des Bildes zu erweitern und die Details in unterbelichteten und überbelichteten Teilen eines Fotos gleichzeitig zu zeigen.
Das Programm steht in zwei Versionen zur Verfügung - als eigenständiges Programm (Standalone) und als ein Zusatzprogramm (Plugin).
