Quando il disco e connesso, i dati vengono automaticamente crittografati in fase di scrittura e decrittografati in fase di lettura. Tali operazioni vengono realizzate da Dekart Private Disk senza apprezzabili penalizzazioni delle prestazioni. Quando il disco viene scollegato dal sistema, manualmente oppure all'uscita da Windows, i dati contenuti nei dischi virtuali diventano completamente illegibili ed incomprensibili per il sistema operativo.
Dekart Private Disk minimizza i tuoi rischi per la sicurezza, implementando algoritmi di crittografia certificati dal National Institute of Standards and Technology, e corrispondenti ai protocolli Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) e Secure Hash Standard (SHA-1).
