Das Programm findet fehlerhafte JPEGs, entfernt ?berfl?ssige Informationen aus den Dateien und ist in der Lage identische JPEG-Dateien zu finden. Zudem besteht die M?glichkeit Indexbilder und Thumbnails zu erstellen und Bilder mit Hilfe einiger vorgegebener Funktionen zu bearbeiten.
Das Programm IT JPEG-Tester dient in erster Linie dazu fehlerhafte JPEG-Dateien aufzusp?ren. Wer kennt das nicht: nach einer (oder mehreren) langen Internet-Sitzung haben sich mal wieder unz?hlige JPEG-Dateien angesammelt und es haben sich sicherlich auch wieder einige Dateien eingeschmuggelt deren Download vorzeitig abgebrochen worden ist oder welche vielleicht schon besch?digt auf irgendeinem Server lagen. Und nun muss man sich nochmal alle Dateien einzeln ansehen um die kaputten Dateien auszusortieren. Das ist jetzt nicht mehr n?tig, denn diese Arbeit ?bernimmt nun das Programm IT JPEG-Tester. Das Programm durchforstet den angegebenen Verzeichnisbaum nach fehlerhaften Dateien und kopiert oder verschiebt diese in einen vorgegebenen Ordner. So kann man sich die gefundenen Dateien vor dem L?schen noch einmal ansehen um beurteilen zu k?nnen ob man die Dateien wirklich l?schen m?chte oder ob die Dateien nur eine geringe Besch?digung aufweisen und man die Dateien doch lieber behalten m?chte (dies kann ja durchaus der Fall sein, wenn von einer Datei z.B. nur wenige Bytes fehlen).
Zus?tzlich kann das Programm noch ?berfl?ssige Informationen aus den Dateien entfernen. Dies sind zum Beispiel Kommentare, angeh?ngte Servermeldungen oder Eintr?ge von Grafikprogrammen. Auch ein Duplikatfinder f?r JPEGs ist integriert. Desweiteren kann das Programm Indexbilder (mehrere Bilder werden auf Thumbnailgr?sse verkleinert und zusammen in einem Bild dargestellt) und Thumbnails erzeugen.
