Remote Task Manager (RTM) est une interface de contrôle système qui peut être lancée depuis une machine Windows XP et Windows 2000/NT. Ce qui permet aux Administrateurs Systems de contrôler la plupart des aspects d'un environnement à distance. L'interface simple d'utilisation sépare applications, services, processes, évènements, ressources partagées et console de performances, rendant ceux-ci très faciles à gérer. Un Administrateur Système peut démarrer ou arrêter un service ou un device, ajouter de nouveaux services ou devices, gérer le niveau d'execution et ajuster la sécurité (permissions, audit et propriétaire). La fonction Process et le Task Manager permet l'arret et l'ajustement des priorités à distance. Un journal d'évènements permet à l'Administrator de visualiser tous les évènements comme si ils étaient executés sur la machine host. Le Moniteur de Performance affiche une vue globale dynamique de la performance des autres machines (CPU et utilisation mémoire). RTM supporte même les installations à distance, offrant la possibilité de mettre en place un service sur une machine distante sans jamais avoir à se déplacer physiquement. RTM permet en plus de verrouiller/arrêter/redémarrer et de créer des processes sur des machines distantes.
