Mit diesem Editor ist es möglich von EXE-Dateien unabhängige Ressource-Dateien zu erstellen, welche von jedem beliebigen Projekt über eine DLL-Datei zur Laufzeit gelesen werden können. So können beispielsweise auch mehrsprachige Anwendungen leicht erstellt werden.
Sie lesen zur Laufzeit die Zeichenfolgen einfach in der Sprache ein, die Sie gerade benötigen. Aber nicht nur Zeichenfolgen, sondern auch Bilder, Audio-, Video- und jede Art von anderen Dateien können in den Ressource-Dateien gespeichert und zur Laufzeit eingebunden werden (z. B. Anzeige von sprachspezifischen Videos möglich).
Bei der Installation des Editors werden mehrere Beispielprojekte mitinstalliert, in welchen der Umgang mit der DLL-Datei erklärt wird.
Eine Einbindung ist sowohl in C# als auch in Visual Basic problemlos möglich. Es sind jeweils extra kompilierte DLLs sowohl für das .NET Framework 1.1 als auch für das .NET Framework 2.0 enthalten, sodass diese sich nahtlos in Ihr Projekt einfügt. Sollte Sie mit dem .NET Framework 1.1 arbeiten, benötigen Sie lediglich für den Editor ein installiertes .NET Framework 2.0. Ihre Anwendung wird weiterhin mit dem .NET Framework 1.1 ausgeliefert. Zudem gibt es eine extra Version (auch mit Beispielprojekt) für Visual Basic 6.
