Synchronizer ist eine Software zum komfortablen und sicheren Vergleichen und Synchronisieren von Laufwerken, Verzeichnissen und Dateien. So können Sie Datenbestände zwischen mehreren Rechnern synchron halten oder Datensicherungen durchführen. Der Vergleich und die Synchronisation kann auf einem einzelnen Rechner (Desktop) oder zwischen verschiedenen, miteinander vernetzten Rechnern (Desktops, Notebook, Server) erfolgen. Die Daten können sich dabei auf einer internen oder externen Festplatte oder auch auf anderen Datenträgern (z.B. USB-Stick) befinden. Die Bedienung und die Übersichtlichkeit des Synchronizers sind vorbildlich: Bestimmen Sie zuerst eine oder mehrere Laufwerks- oder Verzeichniskombinationen, die abgeglichen werden sollen. Starten Sie anschließend den Vergleich und Sie erhalten eine übersichtliche Vorschau auf die zu synchronisierenden Daten. Nach einer optionalen Durchsicht der Liste können Sie Dateien vom Abgleich ausnehmen oder die Synchronisationsrichtung ändern. Abschließend führt Synchronizer die eigentliche Datensynchronisation schnell und sicher für Sie durch. Selbstverständlich bietet Synchronizer die Möglichkeit, beliebig viele Synchronisationsaufgaben in eigene Profile abzulegen und umfassende Einstellungen vorzunehmen (Ausnahmelisten pflegen, festlegen ob Unterverzeichnisse eingeschlossen werden sollen oder ob Dateien anhand von Datum/Uhrzeit oder nur anhand des Dateinamens verglichen werden sollen etc.). Die Synchronisation kann sowohl manuell als auch zeitgesteuert mittels des aborange Scheduler oder des in Windows integrierten Taskplaners durchgeführt werden. Der optischen Vergleich von Textdateien und die Druckausgabe der Dateiliste runden den Leistungsumfang des Synchronizers ab.
