VirtualBoard permet d'utiliser directement le bureau de Windows comme support graphique dynamique tant pour dessiner que pour des présentations éducatives ou commerciales rapides nécessitant le minimum de manipulations à la souris.
VirtualBoard est un programme conçu à l'origine pour répondre des besoins purement professionnels: la nécessité de former rapidement des personnes à l'outil informatique en leur présentant sur grand écran le bureau de Windows et ses fonctionnalités de base. Mais cet outil peut se rendre aussi utile pour expliquer le fonctionnement d'un logiciel à l'aide d'annotations dynamiques ou comme tableau blanc. Un "cliquez ici" est toujours plus explicite lorsqu'il est appuyé par le dessin d'une flèche rouge à l'emplacement indiqué. Le site propose quelques copies d'écran d'utilisations typiques du logiciel.
