nnCron LITE ein kleiner Task-Planer mit vielen Funktionen, der Anwendungen oder Dokumente zu spezifizierter Zeit starten oder öffnen kann. nnCron LITE ist ein vollkommener Freeware Windows Klone des weithin bekannten UNIX Scheduler Cron.
Hier sind die wichtigsten nnCron LITE Eigenschaften:
- kann als Systemdienst oder als alleinstehende Anwendung gestartet werden,
- versteht das UNIX-Cron Tabelle Format und wird mit einfach zu editierenden Textdateien (cron.tab) gesteuert, die zu den Unix cron.tabs völlig kompatibel sind,
- kennt sowohl die Traditionelle als auch die Erweiterte Cron Syntax (Einstellbar)
- kann eigene Umgebungsvariablen setzen und verwenden,
- kann mit Plugins erweitert werden,
- kann Forth Befehle benutzen sowie auf Win APIs zugreifen,
- verbraucht kaum Ressourcen und läuft sogar auf älteren PCs ohne wahrnehmbaren Geschwindigkeits- Verlusten. Wir haben nie beobachtet, das nnCron LITE mehr als 150k Memory verbraucht.

- alle Einstellungen werden in einer INI-Datei gespeichert,
- dadurch einfache Sicherung Ihrer sämtlichen Einstellungen,
- unter WinNT/2000/XP kann nnCron LITE direkt als Dienst gestartet werden, (sicher vor Eingriffe durch Benutzer)
- unter WinNT/2000/XP können Programme mit Administrator Rechten gestartet werden, auch wenn sich ein Benutzer angemeldet hat,
- ideale für immer wiederkehrende Aufgaben wie z.B. Datensicherung/Erinnerungen/Autostart usw.,
- kann ganz einfach Ihren Anforderungen entsprechend eingestellt werden,
- bestimmen Sie die Minute, die Stunde, das Datum, den Monat und den Wochentag, an dem etwas passieren soll,
- bestimmen Sie, ob etwas 5 mal, alle 15 Minuten, nur Montags oder alle 3 Monate passieren soll,
